The start of an Enchanted Garden

Ever since I saw the Enchanted Garden bag I knew I had to make this pattern.  A combination of both the Crocodile Flower and Sophie’s Universe this pattern is just beautiful.

I first saw it through one of the crochet groups I follow on Facebook.  You can see all the details here in Ravelry.  One of the versions I saw was a beautiful combination of creams and blues – a really nice calm palette.  I had been waiting for the right project to place my first order to Bendigo Woollen Mills – this was going to be the one.

I had been really keen to try their cottons plus they’re currently on special for only $11 / 200g ball – what is a girl to do?  The colours I picked are :

  • Snow
  • Parchment
  • Latte
  • Fawn
  • Honeydew
  • Pink Rose
  • Daffodil

The primary colours will be the beiges, with a hint of the honeydew, pink rose and daffodil to keep things interesting.

Tonight I’ve just finished round 22 and I’m really pleased with how the colours are coming together – what do you think?
