Happy New Year!
Well we finally made it in to our new home! It’s funny, we finally got the keys and the next few weekends were spent away, staying in a motel / hotel or visiting family… all we wanted to do was be at home unpacking … no one has ever been recording as saying that as far as I know!
We did manage to get our bedrooms up and running and enough bits and bobs into the kitchen to make it useable. No sooner did we move in and we were off on our cruise with the Jobson’s – what a hoot! We all had a blast – it was just the thing to get us both reinvigorated after such a stressful year.
Christmas came and went somewhat uneventfully other than the new addition of Steve’s mother to the household. Goodness knows how many boxes I have in the shipping container that contain duplicate items we’ve reacquired over the years. But first things first… I NEEDED to organise my pantry!
It’s a well known fact that I’m a little ‘CDO’ when it comes to the organisation of my cupboard and pantry spaces. Having the first 6 weeks without my Tupperware to fill up the pantry was driving me absolutely bonkers! Made worse by the fact I had a Tupperware party planned but hadn’t found all my Tupperware yet… I was shamed into declaring my disorganised and non-Tupperware-ised pantry… Thankfully I won’t have to go through that again in a hurry. Steve, as he often does, came good with his offer to find some of the boxes containing the elusive Tupperware collection… oh my, it was like Christmas all over again! Two days and two boxes later, my pantry is starting to resemble something to admire.
As my pantry is more than double the size of any I’ve had before there’s is much Tupperware to be bought in order to have it looking perfect, but I think I’ve made a good start. Gradually my pantry is becoming a thing of beauty!
I must be off now as I have a bunch of tasks nagging at me… so much so that I don’t even know where to begin. I’ve got a coffee table that I’m doing a strip and repaint of as well as countless ‘things’ still to organise in the shed before I can start bringing boxes out of the shipping container. Dorothy’s removal arrives on Saturday so the race is on to get my shiz sorted! Until next time, have a great week.
